Watertown livestock sales report
The South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., reported 2,600 head Feb. 18, compared to 1,000 head last week and 2,400 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D.
Compared to last week, feeder cattle weighing 600 pounds and lighter were $4 to $5 higher. Feeders weighing from 650 pounds and heavier were $2 to $3 higher. The offering included 70% feeder steers, 30% heifers, with 79% weighing over 600 pounds.
