feeder pig auction
The St. Joseph feeder pig auction, St. Joseph, Mo., reported receipts of 300 head Dec. 21, according to the USDA Market News Service, St. Joseph, Mo.
Compared to last week, feeder pigs sold fully steady. Slaughter hog prices have dropped $18.50 so far during the month of December. Prices paid per head on actual weights.
U.S. 1 to 2: 49 head, 49 lbs., 58.50; 55 head, 51 lbs., 59.00; 25 head, 69 lbs., 59.25.
U.S. 1 to 3: 55 head, 49 lbs., 55.25; 22 head, 57 lbs., 57.00; 75 head, 62 lbs., 58.25; 15 head, 120 lbs., 78.00.
