Sioux falls sheep auction notesThe Sioux Falls sheep auction, Sioux Falls, S.D., Dec. 20 reported estimated receipts of 300 head plus approximately 150 goats, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, slaughter and feeder lambs were steady. Slaughter ewes were mostly steady. The supplies were nearly 43% slaughter lambs, 36% feeder lambs, with the balance being mostly slaughter ewes. Slaughter lambs: Shorn, Choice end Prime 2 to 3, No 1 to 2 pelts scarce. Wooled, Choice end Prime 2 to 3, 7 head, 127 lbs., 99.00; 135 to 145 lbs., 95.00 to 98.25, few 160 lbs., 93.25. Slaughter ewes: Utility and Good 2 to 3, 43.50 to 48.00; high dressing, 49.50 to 51.00. Cull 1 to 2, 35.50 to 42.00. Feeder lambs: Medium and large frame 1 and 2, 67 to 87 lbs., 120.00 to 126.50; 107 to 117 lbs., 98.00 to 104.75. Slaughter goats: Kids, Selection 1, 40 to 60 lbs., 133.00 to 139.00; 60 to 70 lbs., 130.00 to 131.00; 92 lbs., 110.00.
