Russell, Ellis counties to hold fall crops tour Sept. 1Kansas Farmers make plans to attend the Russell/Ellis County Fall Crops Tour, Sept. 1. Visitors will have a chance to view 35 grain sorghum hybrids, 15 sunflower hybrids, 13 soybean hybrids from nine different seed companies. The field day will begin at 5 p.m., at the soybean plot located four miles east of Gorham, Kan., on Highway 40 then 1/4 mile north on county road 180. Seed company representatives will be discussing their hybrids, while extension agronomists and entomologists will be on hand as well. A meal and refreshments will be served following the field day. All interested individuals are invited to attend the Russell/Ellis County Fall Crops Tour on Sept. 1. No RSVP is required. Date: 8/26/04
