Presho livestock auction news
The Presho Livestock Auction, Presho, S.D., reported receipts of 1,056 head, Aug. 19, compared to 1,500 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D.
No trends were applicable as the last feeder sale was a month ago. Mostly small lots were offered, with few potloads. The offering included 55% steers, and 45% heifers.
Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 18 head, 342 lbs., 147.00; 15 head, 378 lbs., 145.50; 4 head, 435 lbs., 136.00; 49 head, 468 lbs., 145.50; 4 head, 603 lbs., 131.50; 9 head, 752 lbs., 121.00; 809 to 826 lbs., 115.50 to 117.50 (117.06); 872 to 891 lbs., 113.30 to 114.70 (113.99); 31 head, 967 lbs., 109.10; 21 head, 1040 lbs., 104.50. Medium and large frame 1 and 2, 11 head, 614 lbs., 122.75; 49 head, 927 lbs., 112.75.
