West Plains regional sales
The Ozarks Regional Stockyard, West Plains, Mo., reported receipts of 1,950 head April 20, compared to 2,617 head last week and 1,736 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Jefferson City, M0.
Compared to last week, steers and heifers weighing under 700 pounds were $3 to $5 higher, limited test on weights over 700 pounds were $2 to $3 higher. The supply was light. Demand was very good. The supply included 52% steers and 48% heifers, with 25% weighing over 600 pounds.
