Watertown livestock auction notes
The South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., reported receipts of 1,700 head April 14, compared to 800 head last week and 1,800 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D.
Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers over 600 pounds were $2 to $4 higher. Feeder cattle under 600 pounds had a light run so no test. Offerings over 600 pounds made up 97% percent of the run. Feeder steers made up 72% of the run, and heifers 28%.
