Apple Crumb Pie

Ingredients:
5 to 7 (6 cups) tart apples
1 9 inch unbaked pie shell, deep dish
1/2 cup sugar
2 to 2-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
3/4 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
6 tablespoons butter













Directions: Peel, core and slice apples into bite size pieces. Mix apples, sugar and cinnamon together then pour into unbaked pie shell. Topping: Combine flour, sugar and cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over the apples. bake at 400°F for 35-40 minutes or until topping is golden brown. May need to cover pie edges with foil if they brown too quickly.

Notes: I like to use Jonathan apples with this recipe.
