Applesauce Red Hot Salad

Ingredients:
2 packages sugar free strawberry gelatin
3 cups boiling water
1/2 cup candy Red Hots
1 (#2) can applesauce
salt (to taste)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup finely chopped nuts
small amount of milk
1 (4 oz.) package cream cheese











Directions: Dissolve gelatin in 2 cups of the hot water. Dissolve Red Hots in 1 cup boiling water. Stir until dissolved. Add applesauce, salt and lemon juice. Mix well, pour into a 12 x 7 x 2 inch glass dish. Place in refrigerator until set. Mix cream cheese, add enough milk to make it spreading consistency. Spread on salad. Sprinkle chopped nuts over the cream cheese.
