4 cups fresh strawberries
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 1/2 cups water
1 (3 oz.) package strawberry gelatin
baked pie shell
Directions: Slice strawberries into baked pie shell. Mix in a saucepan sugar, cornstarch and water. Bring to a boil and stir constantly for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add strawberry gelatin. Pour over strawberries while hot. Chill and top with whipped cream
Notes: This pie is one of our family favorites. One summer we had a grandson here helping us and we made 7 strawberry pies.
