Ingredients:
1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon soda
3 1/2 cups flour

Directions: Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Add other ingredients and mix well. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with favorite shape cookie cutter on floured surface. Bake at 325°F for 10 minutes. Cool slighty then freeze. After the cookies have frozen remove from freezer and thaw. Frost with your favorite cookie frosting and refreeze. Thaw and enjoy!
Notes: We really don't know why all the freezing makes a difference but they are a favorite with our family.
