Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups sugar (scant)
4 tablespoons cornstarch (rounded)
3 egg yolks
3 tablespoons margarine
3 cups milk, 2% or whole
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
pinch of salt

Directions: Mix sugar and cornstarch together in saucepan, add slightly beaten egg yolks and milk, vanilla and salt. Cook over medium heat until boiling and thickened. Remove from heat and add margarine and stir until melted. Pour pie mixture into a 9 inch baked pie crust. Use egg whites to make meringue.
Notes: You can use this cream pie recipe to make banana pie and pineapple pie.
