Tangy-Wangy Plum Preserves

Ingredients:
4 cups wild plums
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1/2 cup apple juice
1 box pectin
4 1/2 cups sugar















Directions: Cover plums with water, bring to a boil and simmer 10 minutes. Cool, then drain, pit, and crush slightly. Mix pineapple, juice and pectin with plums in a large kettle. Bring to a boil. Boil three minutes, stirring constantly. Add sugar to mixture, bring to boil for 1 minute. Pour into sterilized jars and seal. Makes 3 pints.

Notes: We love wild plums, and this preserves recipe is one way we add them to our meals.
