1 box German chocolate cake mix
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 jar caramel ice cream topping
nuts, chopped (optional)
toasted coconut (optional)
Directions: Bake cake per the directions on the box until done. Remove from oven. Poke 8 to 10 holes with a wooden spoon handle into the cake. Pour the sweetened condensed milk over warm cake.
Warm the caramel topping briefly and pour over the top of the cake. Sprinkle with chopped nuts or toasted coconut if desired for a finishing touch.
