Spinach Salad

Ingredients:
1 pound spinach, fresh
bean sprouts
bacon bits
3 eggs, boiled
1 purple onion
1 (small) head lettuce
1 cup salad oil
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt








Directions: Wash and cut spinach and lettuce. Add bean sprouts, bacon bits and boiled eggs. Toss lightly. Dressing: Mix salad oil, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, sugar and salt. Whip with wire whip until well blended. Pour over just enough dressing on salad before serving.

Notes: I received this recipe from an aunt many years ago. I changed it a bit. It was made with only spinach, I added the lettuce, which we preferred. It has been a favorite in early spring with fresh vegetables from my garden.
