Ingredients:
1 (9 inch pie shell, baked
1 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup cornstarch
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
3 egg yolks, beaten
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 egg whites, for meringue
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon cream tartar
6 tablespoons sugar

Directions: Mix powdered sugar and peanut butter to the consistency of corn meal. Spread half of the mixture into bottom of baked pie shell. Combine cornstarch, sugar, salt, milk and egg yolks, cook until thick stirring constantly, cool before adding vanilla and butter or margarine.
Beat egg whites with 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, and 1/4 teaspoon cream of tarter until frothy, add 6 tablespoons sugar, beat until stiff. Spread over pie and sprinkle with the other half of the peanut butter mixture. Bake at 350°F for about 10 minutes or until brown.
