Mexican Corn Bread

Ingredients:
1/2 cup bell pepper
3/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup green chiles chopped
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
3 eggs
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup flour
1 cup cornmeal
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 1/2 cups creamedsyle corn






Directions: Chop peppers, onion and set aside.(you can also used canned chili peppers). Combine eggs and oil. Add dry ingredients and buttermilk. Fold in garlic powder, canned corn, cheese and onion. Pour into well greased 13x9 inch pan. Bake at 450°F for 25 minutes, just until set. Do not overbake. This is a favorite with our family.
