Economy Mincemeat Pies

Ingredients:
1 cup lean ground beef
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups apples, diced, cooked
1 cup raisins
1 orange, diced
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1 tablespoon butter or margarine






Directions: Simmer beef in the water and orange juice until meat loses its red color. Add remaining ingredients. Place in two unbaked pie shells. Add top crust. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
