California Slush

2 cups water
2 cups sugar
6 1/2 cups water
1 (15 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 (12 oz.) can frozen orange juice
1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, chopped
4 ripe bananas, peeled and chopped

Directions: Boil 2 cups water and 2 cups sugar. Cool. Add remaining ingredients. Let freeze at least 24 hours. Let stand at room temperature 1 to 2 hours before serving. Then stir into a delicious slush!

Notes: This recipe can be divided into smaller containers for freezing and serving. This is a wonderfully refreshing way to cool off on those hot summer days!
