Walnut Raisin Wheat Bread

Ingredients:
1 package yeast
1 cup warm milk
1 cup warm water
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2-1/2 to 3 cups flour
2 cups raisins
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup walnuts, chopped










Directions: Combine warm water, warm milk and yeast in a large bowl, or mixer bowl if using a mixer. Let sit until yeast foams, about 5 minutes. Add raisins, pepper, flour, sugar, salt, whole wheat flour and walnuts and mix for 2 to 3 minutes. Knead dough for 8 to 10 minutes, adding extra flour as need. Place in greased bowl, cover and let rise until dobled in bulk, about 1-1/2 hours. Punch dough down and divide in half. Shape into two loaves and place in greased loaf pans. Let rise 30 to 45 minutes. Pre-heat oven to 350°F and bake for 30 minutes. Take out of pan and brush with margarine.
