3 to 5 lb. brisket
1 teaspoon celery salt
1 teaspoon onion salt
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon hickory smoked salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tablespoon liquid smoke
1 can beer
1/2 to 3/4 cup beef broth
Directions: Combine all spices, Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke, making a paste-like consistency. Rub on brisket. Place in slow cooker. Add beer. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. Remove to plate or cutting board and discard juice. After meat has cooled a bit, slice and return to slow cooker. Add just enough beef broth to cover bottom of cooker to keep the meat moist. Top with barbecue sauce. Return to low until warmed through.
Notes: The meat cooks so nicely, no knife needed here.
