Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or margrine
1 cup white sugar
1 large egg
1 (8 oz.) package dates, chopped
2-1/2 cups Rice Krispies
1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions: Melt butter or margarine, beat in sugar, egg and dates. Cook, stirring constantly, 10 minutes or until dates are melted. Remove from heat, add Rice Krispies, nuts and vanilla. Cool slightly. Using buttered hands, shape into 2-inch logs and roll in coconut. Cool completely. Makes 4-5 dozen cookies.
