2 cups walnut pieces
1/2 cup sugar
1-1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 egg whites, whisked until frothy
Directions: Grind nuts, sugar and cinnamon in food processor or blender. Combine with egg whites and vanilla. Drop by teaspoon on oiled cookie sheet. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes. Cookies will be soft, do not overbake. Makes 15 cookies.
Notes: Heart healthy recipe as no flour, no salt, no shortening. I usually double or triple recipe, as there is always someone to give them to.
