2 packages orange gelatin
2 cups vanilla ice cream
1 small can mandarin oranges
Directions: Drain oranges, reserving juice. Add enough water to juice to make 1-3/4 cups.
Heat liquid until boiling. Stir into gelatin until dissolved. Add ice cream by spoonfuls and stir until melted. The mixture should start to thicken. Add drained oranges and then banana. Pour in a mold and chill several hours.
Notes: This is the dish that my children always looked forward to at Grandma's house.
