1-2 lbs. cube steak
1 package dry onion soup mix
1 (10-1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup water
Directions: Cut cube steaks into one inch size pieces and place in crock pot. Mix in dry onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup and water. Mix well. Bake on low for 6 to 8 hours. When complete, remove steak from crock pot with slotted spoon. Pour juices from crock pot into a sauce pan. If the gravy is thick enough, for your preference, serve. If not, bring the gravy to a boil and add one tablespoon of flour at a time to thicken it up. Serve with mashed potatoes.
Notes: I have tried it with noodles, but my family likes it better with mashed potatoes. Also, the steak will be very tender and break apart easily.
