Sausage Casserole

1 cup elbow macaroni
1 lb. bulk pork sausage
1 medium onion, chopped
1 (14.5 oz.) can tomatoes, diced
3 tablespoons margarine
4 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup milk
1 cup cheese, shredded (cheddar, Jack or Mozzerella)

Directions: Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside. In large skillet, cook sausage and onion till browned. Drain off fat. Stir in tomatoes, set aside. In large saucepan, melt margarine, stir in flour and pepper. Add milk all at once and cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Stir meat mixture and macaroni into white sauce. Transfer mixture into an ungreased 9x13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle top with cheese. Bake uncovered in 350°F oven about 30 minutes until bubbly.
