Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter
3 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
SAUTEED APPLES
2 tablespoons butter
3 medium peeled and sliced apples
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup sugar

Directions: Preheat oven to 450°F. Melt butter in 8 or 9 inch square baking dish. Beat together remaining ingredients and pour over melted butter. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and puffy. Dust with powdered sugar after removing from oven. Serve with sauteed apples. Serves 2 or 3. For sauteed apples, melt butter in skillet. Toss remaining ingredients together, saute this mixture in butter in skillet until apples are tender, stirring often.
