6 (medium) pork chops (fat trimmed)
6 to 8 (medium) peeled and sliced thin potatoes
1 package dry onion soup mix
3 cups hot water (not boiling)
salt (to taste)
pepper (to taste)
Directions: Flour and fry pork chops until golden brown. Drain on paper towels to absorb grease. Place the sliced potatoes on bottom of a greased 9x13 inch glass baking dish. Add soup mix to the hot water, mix well and pour over the potatoes. Place pork chops over the potatoes and soup mixture. Salt and pepper to taste. Cover with foil and bake at 400°F for an hour.
