Maple Walnut Syrup

Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups corn syrup
1 cup maple
syrup 1/2 cup
water 2 cups
walnut pieces














Directions: Prepare home canning jars and two-piece caps according to manufacturer's instructions. Combine sugar, corn syrup, maple syrup and water in a saucepot. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer syrup until it begins to thicken, about 15 minutes. Stir in nuts; cook 5 minutes. Ladle hot syrup into hot jars, leaving 1/4-inch headspace. Wipe jar rim clean. Place lid on jar with sealing compound next to glass. Screw band down evenly and firmly just until a point of resistance is met. Process 10 minutes in a boiling water canner. Yield: about 4 half-pints.
