New mower features simple design, efficiency

Midwest Mowers, Inc., Cimarron, Kan., recently debuted the Wegele 60 front deck mower, which joins its little brother, the Wegele, known for some 60 years for its durability and ability to mow the toughest weeds and brush.

The Wegele 60 features a high-capacity shaft-driven cutting deck. Dual blades are fitted to a deep deck with a cutting range of 1 to 5 inches. The deck is raised and lowered hydraulically. A 25 HP Kohler air-cooled motor, heavy duty air cleaner, oil cooler, and 6-gallon fuel tank ensure hours of uninterrupted mowing. A larger motor is also available.

The Wegele 60 boasts a twin-stick hydraulic drive for ease of maneuverability. The high flotation bar grip tires, longer wheelbase, and low center of gravity makes for a stable, comfortable ride. And its simple design makes it a snap to service, because all filters and drains are easily accessible, the motor is open-mounted for ease of access and cooling, and both belts are spring-tensioned.

Beyond the trademark red-and-yellow finish, the family resemblance is equally obvious in both Wegeles' rugged design and robust construction, making it a snap for you to cut through thick vegetation with the greatest of ease.
