Entry Requirements—

-          Maximum of 4 entries per family.

-          Photos should follow the theme—The Country Life—being indicative of agricultue and/or rural living and be categorized by season—spring, summer, fall, winter when submitted.

-    Photos must include name, address, city, state, zip, phone number, email address and season category on back of photos.  

Photo Submission Requirements—

-          We encourage high-quality color photos. Printed photos must be at least 8” x 10” or 9” x 12” in size and glossy finish is preferred. Digital submissions must be 300 dpi, 600 pixels wide x 400 pixels tall, and in JPG format.

-          All entries must be horizontal, due to the design of the calendar.

-          No artwork, paintings, Polaroids or enhanced images will be accepted.

-          Photos will not be returned.

-          No families or relatives of High Plains Publishers, Inc. are eligible to win.

-          We reserve the right to use any images and/or stories you send us in the High Plains Journal or Down Country Roads website and for any marketing purpose under the brand Purple Rooster Productions. Pictures may be used for covers on the Down Country Roads cd and cassette products, and other products under the brand name Purple Rooster Productions.

-          All photos become the property of High Plains Publishers, Inc., and may be edited. Photos will be copyrighted by High Plains Publishers.

-          You confirm that you own the copyrights to all the photographs you submit and that, to your knowledge, the photographs do not violate any existing copyright pursuant to statute, common law, or equity. If your photo is selected for the calendar, you will be required to sign a photo release (and talent release if people are pictured), and assign all copyrights to High Plains Publishers, Inc.

-          You agree to hold harmless High Plains Publishers, Inc, all of its subsidiaries and employees harmless from any and all claims resulting from the use of your photograph.

-          You understand that NO royalties will be paid to you for publication of your photographs or links to High Plains Journal or Down Country Roads websites or in the marketing of any product under the brand name Purple Rooster Productions.
